Last year, Mobvoi released the Pro 2020 – a modified version of the popular Ticwatch Pro with a higher 1GB RAM to support the outdated Snapdragon 2100, the company went ahead to release Ticwatch Pro 3 which is the first Wear OS smartwatch to be powered by Snapdragon 4100 chip which boasts a faster CPU, GPU, and enables longer battery life. This no doubt makes Ticwatch Pro 3 the best Wear OS smartwatch at the moment. So what’s the difference between Ticwatch Pro 2020 vs Ticwatch Pro 3 considering that both have a very similar appearance? Features Compared
The difference between Ticwatch Pro 2020 and Pro 3 is that the latter has higher storage, more fitness tracking features, and longer battery life than the Pro 2020.

Going further, both smartwatches look very much alike with the Pro 3 being a bit slimmer. It’s the same dual AMOLED/FSTN display for both smartwatches. While the AMOLED display is very colorful and interactive, the FSTN mode is a monochrome display that lets you go longer from a single charge, but with very minimal functions.
Both smartwatches are very durable featuring bodies made of durable materials. The straps differ, while Ticwatch Pro 3 comes with a solid silicone strap, the Pro 2020 comes with a hybrid strap made of two materials; leather and silicone. The good thing is that the straps of these are interchangeable and compatible with 22mm wide straps. Also, each of these two is rated 1P68 representing 1.5 meters waterproof rating, Mobvoi claims that it’s safe to wear any of these to the pool.
Just like Ticwatch Pro 2020, Ticwatch Pro 3 is designed to track a host of daily activities. Each of these two will allow you to measure your heart rate, sleep, steps, distance, and more. There is an inbuilt GPS in each of these two which allows you to track your outdoor activities like routes, pace, and locations.
However, Ticwatch Pro 3 comes with extra fitness tracking features which you won’t find in Ticwatch Pro 2020, it features the TicHearing app that protects your hearing, the TicBreating app that can help you return back to calm, and TicOxygen which allows you to measure your blood oxygen levels. There are also more preloaded workout modes in Ticwatch Pro 3, 10 compared to 6 in Pro 2020.
Media wise, Ticwatch Pro 3 comes with a higher storage capacity that allows you to take more of your favorite tracks with you. It comes with 8GB compared to 4GB of Ticwatch Pro 2020. Both smartwatches are equipped with a microphone and loudspeaker that allows you to take calls directly from any of these two.
With Snapdragon 4100 under the hood powering Ticwatch Pro 3 and its bigger battery capacity, it has a longer battery life than Ticwatch Pro 2020. This is one of the main advantages of the 4100 chip, it offers a better performance which by extension elongates battery life. It’s about 3 days long battery life with Ticwatch Pro 3, while Ticwatch Pro 2020 can last up to 2 days with the AMOLED display.
Which is Better?
Clearly, Ticwatch Pro 3 is a better smartwatch than Ticwatch Pro 2020, it features more fitness tracking features, better performance, longer battery life, higher storage and weighs a little less which makes it a more comfortable wear. Meanwhile, Ticwatch Pro 2020 is a cheaper alternative, yet a fine smartwatch.
