Ticwatch E2 and S2 are the two latest additions to the Mobvoi smartwatch series. It was announced by Mobvoi at the CES 2019 and was released in January.

These two watches have quite a lot in common, they look almost similar, have almost similar features, but there are minute differences that separates these two. Ticwatch E2 and S2 have a whole lot in common, it is the same specifications except the difference in shape and the additional US military-grade durability rating on the S2 which the E2 lacks.

Ticwatch E2 is circular while the S2 is also circular, but curved at four strategic points which gives it a masculine and bold appearance. Perhaps Mobvoi had in mind to make the S2 for men and E2 for women. Both watches look decent enough and are stylish and elegant, although the E2 is slightly bigger than the S2, it’s only a minute difference in size.

In addition to the 5ATM waterproof rating that each of these got, Ticwatch S2 is certified MIL-STD-810G, it’s the US Military grade standard durability test that sees the S2 withstand tougher and harsher conditions. It’s Operational between -20ºC to 55ºC and resistant to humidity, dust, and salt fog. So, the S2 is rugged and tough making it a better choice for exploring and adventurous activities.

Which is Better?

Any of these two would make a perfect choice, but I would recommend based on the shape and in that regard Ticwatch S2 is a better choice for the male folks while Ticwatch E2 would look nicer for women.
