For one reason or the other, you might want to reset your Fitbit Versa 2, perhaps the Versa 2 is freezing or you want to give it out. Well, in this post, I’ll show you how you can do both a soft and hard reset on the Versa 2. A soft reset is what you should do when the Versa 2 is freezing and not responding, while a hard reset is the preferred option if you want to give out your Versa 2 or just want a fresh start as this will wipe out every information on your watch.

  1. I did a hard reset on the watch and its just showing all different languages and not resetting back to original screen. Cannot restart it

      • How do you select the language – It keeps listing different languages but doesn’t let me select one. I did a factory reset to get rid of my friends information and now I can’t use it at all. Any suggestions – please

  2. I did a hard reset on my Versa 2, now it will not reset. Need help.

  3. I did a hard reset and message comes up when I hit the button with a big red X…data not cleared sync and try again.

Clear cache for the Fitbit app from your phone by going to settings>>apps>> Fitbit App>>Clear cache, then reboot your phone. Try reconnecting the Versa 2. Hope this works.

  4. What do you do if your Versa 2 does not have a Settings icon? The icons I have are: Exercise, Spotify, Relax, Weather, Music, Wallet, Deeezer, Tips and Alexa. I am not able to do a factory reset.

    Thank you

the fitbit versa 2 does not have the correct time…It is showing about 3 to 5 minutes slower than the correct time. What do I do to correct this issue?

      Sorry for the late reply. What I suggest you do is;
      1. Toggle off your phone Bluetooth and wait for a minute, turn it back on. This should solve the problem. However, if it doesn’t work, try the second method.
      2. Disconnect the Versa 3 from the list of the connected devices on your phone’s Bluetooth. If this doesn’t work, try the next method.

      3. Restart the Versa 2 and also restart your phone, this should rectify the problem.

  6. The time on my Fitbit versa 2 is wrong. How do I change to the correct time? Help please. Thank you in advance

    • Go to the Fitbit app, tap on the profile icon at the top, scroll down to advance settings and select automatic timezone. This should correct the time.

If that doesn’t solve the problem, simply disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth on your phone.

If the above didn’t work, restart the Versa 2, this solve any sync problems.

    • You can reset your steps from the Fitbit app. Open the app and tap on the profile icon to access the menu list. Then go to account settings>>delete data >>delete steps. This will reset your steps or any other data you wish to reset.

  7. I factory reset my versa2 because it had the wrong time and would no longer synch to my iPhone. I tried all the tips above and some from the web. I’ve toggled blue tooth a million times restarted my fitbit, uninstalled and reinstalled my app. Now it just says to download the app and will not show up on my iphone bluetooth or from the fitbit app it doesn’t find my versa.
Any suggestions? Ready to give up. Only had it about a year or less

      My recommendations,

      1. Ensure you have the latest version of the app.
      2. Check to be sure your iPhone Bluetooth is visible to other devices.
      3. If the problem persists, try pairing it with another iPhone if you can.

I believe this is a minor glitch that can be resolved.

  8. I have a Fitbit Versa 2 – I accidentally pressed the wallet and now all by fit bit shows is the time and wants me to setup the Wallet. I don’t want the wallet set and never plan on using it. I have tried the soft reset – nothing happens and I can’t swipe to do a hard reset. What can I try now. This really makes me mad that I can’t do a soft reset or a hard reset. Thoughs?

Simply do a restart, it should fix the problem.

Press and hold the side button until you see the Fitbit logo, then release your finger. The device will restart, and this should fix the problem.
