Apple Watch Series 5 is the new successor to the now discontinued Watch 4 that was released about a year ago. The new Watch 5 comes in two sizes; 40mm and 44mm. These two are available in both GPS only and GPS+Cellular editions, and both have the same appearance except for the difference in which is aimed at giving Apple watch fans options to choose their preferred size. Apple Watch Series 5 (44mm) vs (40mm) – The Difference

The difference between the 40mm and 44mm models is that the former is bigger with a wider display than the later. However, the 40mm being smaller weighs slight less than the 44mm model.

Both models of the Watch 5 comes in a highly sophisticated aesthetics that leaves each of these two with an attractive and classy appearance that defines a premium smartwatch.

The 44mm model with a bigger case size has a wider display that lets you see more at a glance than the 40mm model with a smaller 1.57 inches display. Thickness size is the same at 10.7mm which is one of the slimmest smartwatches on the market, slimmer than Active 2 and Versa 2 – the two new smartwatches from Samsung and Fitbit respectively.

Although each of the two models spots a lightweight design, the 40mm being smaller with 36g (aluminum) weighs slightly less than the 44mm weighing 42g.

Beyond the different sizes and weights, every other feature is the same. Same LTPO AMOLED powers both devices offering a rich display, the touchscreen is supported and a digital crown button with hepatic feedback by the side to aid navigation.

New activity tracking features include menstrual cycle tracking that let’s women log there period with the app which can help you detect changes. So also is the addition of compass that gives you more insight on your current location.

Obviously, Apple Watch Series 5 in two different models tries to give smartwatch lovers options to choose their preferred size.
The smaller 40mm is a better choice for women and those with smaller wrist, while the bigger 44mm models is a better choice for men and those with slight fatter wrist.
