The Differences
These two are some of the best Amazfit smartwatches, both smartwatches are well equipped to track your steps, calories, heart rate, sleep, blood oxygen and feature 12 preloaded sport modes. However, while the GTR 2 has a circular case that leaves it with a classic design, GTS 2 has a rectangular shape that leaves it with a sporty appearance.
GTS 2 which weighs only 24.7g excluding straps weighs less than 31.5 grams GTR 2, both smartwatches are still very lightweight. GTS 2 is also more compact than GTR 2 which suggests a more comfortable smartwatch to wear especially for individuals with a thin wrist.
Both smartwatches feature music storage and as well have both microphone and a loudspeaker than allow you to make and receive calls directly from any of these two. Alexa has been added to GTS 2 and GTR 2 which will allow you to do simple tasks with your voice. GTR 2 also features an offline voice assistant which works without an internet connection, this will allow you to play music, start an exercise, and more with your voice.
As per battery life, while GTS 2 is tested to last up to 7 days, GTR 2 will last up to 14 days. That’s some very impressive long battery life than GTS 2.
Which is Better?
I go with GTR 2, I’m a fan of the circular design, even though, GTS 2 is also a fantastic smartwatch.
