Mi Band 4 Full Specifications – The Mi Band 4 is here, and it succeeds the very popular Mi Band 3 that’s one of the cheapest smartbands, yet great quality. The new successor features a more decent design, a wider display that’s now more interactive, and now a more comprehensive fitness tracker with the inclusion of 3-axis gyroscope – all for almost same price as its predecessor. We present to you the full specifications of the elegant Mi band 4.
Mi Band 4 Full Specifications
The new Mi band 4 which was announced at an event in China last week looks quite stunning in its new design. It’s still the capsule shape, but now it’s wider and probably slimmer (we don’t know the actual dimensions yet).
The remarkable difference is the 0.95 inch AMOLED display which is more interactive than the OLED used on Mi band 3.
Navigating the device is via a touchkey button at the extreme end just like the Band 3. On the screen is a 2.5D tempered glass that should take care of accidental knocks, and as well about 70 watch faces to choose from.
A bit heavier, the Band 4 weighs 22grams which is still very much lightweight that you will forget you putting it on.
It has thermoplastic used for the frame, and the 18mm straps which are joined to the holding frame for the device is made of TPU that’s very comfortable to wear, and as well can be changed just in case you decide to wear a new look.
The Mi Band 4 is available in black, orange and navy blue and sales for about $40 for the standard edition, while the NFC edition cost a bit more.
Impressive Battery Life
The Band 4 also got a boost in the battery capacity which the company says will increase battery life by 20%. That leaves us with a very impressive battery life just like the Band 3 that has long battery life as one of its major selling points.
The Band 4 will last about 2 weeks or more on regular usage that should see you through the most extreme work out activities. Charging the Band 4 is via a 2pin poco pin charger that’s easy to fix and takes just about 2 hours to charge the fully depleted Mi Band 4.
Just like the Band 3, the Mi band 4 is rated 5ATM which makes it water resistant up to 50meters.
So, you can wear it to the pool or ocean, and the good thing is that it features swimming tracking capabilities that detects different strokes, including a SWOLF score that can be viewed from the Mi fit dashboard.
The Mi band 4 is now a better and more comprehensive fitness tracker as it’s accompanied by 3-axis accelerometer that enables it track your steps, runs, and distance, 3-axis gyroscope that tracks your cycling activities and a PPG heart rate sensor.
6 workout modes are supported, which includes;
- Treadmill exercise.
- Outdoor running.
- Pool swimming; Count steps, distance,
and calories burned.
It however lacks inbuilt GPS support that doesn’t argue well for it.
The Mi band 4 is equipped with Bluetooth v5.0 that when connected to a compatible device will keep you updated with all that matters to you.
Compatible with both Android and iOS devices, the Band 4 will buzz you when there’s a new notification on your phone.
It comes with inbuilt microphone that enables voice commands that comes handy in controlling music on your phone, finding a misplaced phone, and as well you can answer incoming calls from the device.
There’s also a special edition of the Band 4 with NFC chip that supports Mi pay.
