Fitbit Flex 2 is a cheap ultra-slim and removable fitness tracker that can fit into bands, bangles and pendants accessories. It is swimproof unlike its predessesor. It was released in August 2017 and runs on Fitbit proprietary OS.

Design

Fitbit flex 2 is slim and sleek removable tracker that can fit into a band, pendant or bangle making it a versatile wearable. It features a discrete multi-color led lights.

The body of the Flex 2 is built with durable surgical-grade stainless steel material while the strap which is interchangeable is made of elastomer a popular material in the wearable industry. The Flex 2 is light weight that you barely notice that you are putting it on, it weighs only 22.7grams.

Battery

The battery life of Fitbit Flex 2 is great, it features a lithium polymer battery which on standby can last about 8 days+ while on mixed average usage you should expect a battery life of about 4days+. This allows you to go long on a single charge. Fitbit recommends that you charge the device once in a while to ensure you stay tracked.

The battery can be charge via a USB cable that comes with the device, simply plug the USB end preferably to a computer or other low-energy source,. It is not recommended to use a power pack to charge the Flex 2.

Water Resistance/Protection

The Flex 2 is dust and water resistance up to 50 meters and as such you can wear it under the rain, in the shower,. It can also be worn to the pool or ocean. It is recommended that you dry up the device after getting it wet in other to get the best feel.

Activity/Fitness tracking

The flex 2 will surely help you live a healthier life with the inbuilt 3-axis accelerometer and vibrator motor sensors. It is capable of automatically tracking select activities and also tracking features such as;

  • Incoming calls alert: the LED lights will show blue color when there is a call or text.
  • SMS: it notifies you when there is a new messages by showing purple color.
