Fitbit Ace Features
Fitbit Ace has a great design that makes it perfect as a fitness band. The screen size is 1.4 inch powered by OLED display which gives it a rich color display. It is not touch screen though , however its tap sensitive. You wake up the screen simply by tapping the OLED screen sharply twice at the rear end where the fitness tracker meets the strap or by turning your wrist towards you.
The body of the Ace is built with a durable surgical-grade stainless steel material while the strap which is interchangeable is made of elastomer a popular material in the wearable industry. The Ace is light weight that you barely notice that you are putting it on, it weighs only 23grams.
Another great thing about the Ace is that it comes with 10 fun watch faces which shows time and other stats, so you can customize it by choosing the watch face that is most appealing for your child.
The battery life of the Ace is great, it is powered by a lithium polymer battery which on standby can last about 8 days+ while on mixed average usage you should expect a battery life of about 6days+. Fitbit recommend that you charge the device once in a while to ensure you stay tracked.
The battery can be charge via a USB cable that comes with the device, simply plug the USB end preferably to a computer or other low-energy source, its not recommended to use a power pack or third-party chargers to charge the Ace.
Fitbit Ace is dust and water resistance. It is splash-proof, can be worn under rain, in the shower, but it can’t be worn to the pool or ocean as this will damage the device. It is recommended that you dry up the device after getting it wet in other to get the best feel. Fitbit recommends that kids with eczema or other skin conditions should talk to a doctor first before wearing.

In the Fitbit app, parents can setup a family account and then create an account for their child where they can view activities and progress made. Kids can as well see stats through a secured kids view which can be turned on or off from the the family account.
