Samsung has started rolling out the latest update, Tizen 5.5.0.1 to Galaxy Watch Active 2. This update won’t come to older Samsung smartwatches. The new update brings some interesting features to Active 2 and Galaxy Watch 3 which includes Advanced running analysis, VO2 Max., incidental fall detection, improved notification, AR emoji, and the ability to auto-send screenshots taken on these watches.

This feature gives you more insights that you need to improve your running form.
With VO2 Max., you can check the maximum amount of oxygen you utilize during an exercise to help you improve your endurance.
This feature allows you to add an emergency contact that your watch can call when it detects a hard fall. And there’s is the emergency call feature that was initially present that allows you to send an SOS call to a preset contact.
You can now view images from notifications received on the watch. You don’t have to open your phone to view images on Active 2 and Galaxy Watch 3.
The new update also adds the ability to send AR emojis and Bitmoji through Active 2 and Galaxy Watch 3.
While you can take screenshots on Active 2, you can now send it automatically to your phone without having to access the gallery app on the watch.
For countries where ECG and Blood pressure tracking have been Approved, you can download the Samsung Health Monitor app which adds ECG and blood pressure monitoring to the Active 2 and Galaxy Watch 3. There’s also a widget for ECG and blood pressure monitoring that makes it easy to track these metrics.
Tizen 5.5.0.1 is rolling out to Active 2 Bluetooth models followed by the LTE models, and from one region to the other. So if you have not received the update on your Galaxy Wearable app, you need to be patient.
