Today we’re comparing the Samsung Galaxy Fit vs Fit e, head-to-head we compare the specs and features of these two. So you know what each has got to offer.
Back in March, Samsung had announced the Galaxy series of wearables that included the Galaxy Watch Active, Fit and Fit e. The Galaxy Watch Active was immediately released, while the Fit and Fit E just arrived in the US last week. The Galaxy Fit E is half the price of the Galaxy Fit but lacks some features found in the Galaxy Fit.

Samsung Galaxy Fit vs Fit e Features – The Differences
- Design
- Battery Life
- Activity Tracking
Both the Galaxy Fit and Fit e come in a simple yet stylish and elegant design that’s suitable to wear, and these are actually very lightweight. However, the Galaxy Fit has a 0.95 inch display that’s slightly bigger than the 0.78 inches of the Fit e.
That’s just saying that you’ll be able to see more at a glance on the Fit than on the Fit e. The Galaxy Fit also features a more interactive and colorful AMOLED display that offers better picture quality than the monochromic PMOLED display of the Fit E.
Although, while the AMOLED display is more interactive, the monochrome OLED is easier to read under sunlight and comes in handy when you need to catch a glimpse while working out on a very sunny day.
Navigating the Galaxy Fit is a bit easy with the touchscreen support and an additional single side button compared to the Fit E which doesn’t support touchscreen, rather you need to tap the side of the band to interact with it.
The Galaxy Fit also comes with an NFC chip that’s lacking in the Fit e, though the NFC in the Galaxy Fit is only used to charge the device.
The Galaxy Fit comes with a slightly bigger battery capacity than the Fit E with a 70mAh lithium polymer battery. However, considering that the Fit has an AMOLED display that consumes more power than the Fit E’s monochromic display, it’s safe to say these two will likely have almost the same battery life.
Samsung has stated that the Galaxy Fit will last just about a week on mixed usage, and that makes it a great choice for anyone who engages in extreme workout activities, and with such a long battery life, you’ll be able to go long on a single charge.
These two devices are no doubt great choices for tracking your active life. The Galaxy Fit, however, is a more comprehensive tracker than the Fit e.
The Galaxy Fit comes with a 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope while the Fit E only has a 3-axis accelerometer. That simply means the Fit can track your movements in all 6 dimensions including linear and circular compared to the Fit E which can’t track elliptical activities such as cycling.
As a result, the Galaxy Fit can track about 90 different activities, while the Fit E tracks less than that.
Also, the Galaxy Fit can automatically detect and track 6 different activities, and the Fit E can detect only three, while also giving you the option to choose up to 10 preloaded sports modes.
Which is Better?
Obviously, the Galaxy Fit is a better choice. It’s a more comprehensive activity tracker than the Fit e which is no doubt a great choice for tracking your active life. Moreover, the Galaxy Fit has a better and wider display than the Fit e, while not forgetting the NFC chip that accompanies it (offers more ways to charge).
The Galaxy Fit is no doubt a better choice than the Fit E.
However, if you are low on budget, the Fit E is a great choice and is certainly one of the best smartbands at half the price of the Fit.
Our Pick
The Galaxy Fit being a more comprehensive activity tracker is no doubt the better choice. It is my preferred choice.
